catch up.

So, we're gonna play a little game of catch up here.  I have been busy with anything and everything lately, and its not that I've put blogging on the back burner, but it's more like I pushed it off the stove.  So, in advance, sorry for those of you who hate it when I post more than one thing per day.  You'll survive.  Promise.

Events/Moments from April so far
1.  My daddy came for DG Dad's weekend and it was great.  It was the nicest weather weekend all month, so we walked all over Drake campus and Des Moines all weekend.  DGs and dads went mini golfing at some super jank arcade, but it was a black light course, which was sweet.  I liked hanging out, just me and my dad, because I definitely miss that about being home all the time.  I miss sitting at the counter eating Wheat Thins and cheese dip and just chatting.
2. That same weekend, it just so happened that my aunt, uncle, and two cousins were passing through Des Moines on their way from Colorado back to Michigan.  My dad and I got to have breakfast with them at Panera, and it was good to see them, since I probably will not have the opportunity this summer since I'll be at camp.  I was so jealous to hear about all the snow they got while in Colorado, and the thought of skiing and snowboarding on fresh powder just makes me happy.
3.  Street painting was this Sunday afternoon.  If you don't know what street painting is, check it out here.  Basically, some people actually paint the sidewalk, but most people just run around like 9 year olds and throw paint on people.  It's so hilarious... until you get a handful of paint in your eyeball, and you can't see at all and your eye feels like it's on fire... but hey, whatever.
This is the ONE picture I have from street painting.  I didn't feel like exposing my camera to a paint war.

4.  DG spring formal was this weekend and it was great.  The venue was amazing with a spectacular view of Des Moines.  Everyone looked gorgeous and it was so much fun.  The food was fine, the dancing was great, but the girls were the best.  I love my sisters.

There's probs more, but I should really write my essays now. #procrastination
